Reopening of the Domes, in a completely reconsidered decoration.

The Thermal Center of the Domes of Vichy is a rich place of history.

* A room of rest felted and coloured, like a cocoon of escape at the end of a long corridor.

At the entry, a fresco made up of 3 tables declines in three times the photography of a detail of mosaics which, once increased resembles fountains then with a Roman way… towards the naturally hot sources of the area.

The building work of the “new hydropathic establishment” starts in 1899 with the rise of the city. Built in the field of the architect Charles Lecoeur (1) (also architect of the Opera of Vichy), the establishment is inaugurated in 1903.
An additional wing is added in 1934.
The central house, where seat currently the Farm Company of Vichy, is covered with a cupola.
The hall opens on outside by three entirely glazed and surmounted doors “semicircular arch” of a multicoloured glazing.
The cupola, of Moorish style néo, is composed of an octagonal drum covered with sandstone flame of the ceramist Alexandre Bigot (2) and of a slightly pointed cap.
An external ceramics fresco, underlining of a deep feature blue the whole of the building in its upper part, where hippocampi, sirens and cabochons alternate, is also the work of the famous ceramist.
Inside, the hall is decorated paintings of Alphonse Osbert (3): The Source (1903) and the Bath (1904).
The arcades are bordered of finely worked stucco.
On the northern frontage, current opening of the Thermal Center of the Domes, going back to 1934 are two water towers in light withdrawal compared to its center.
They present the aspect of two towers strengthened with pseudo defensive openings.
The building was classified MH in 1989. The Farm Company of Vichy, short recall: Created in 1853, the Farm Company of Vichy (CFV) is dealer since this date of the two Hydropathic establishments of Vichy and a real unit which includes/understands in particular 11 sources of which Vichy célestins.
The CFV also exploits Spa Vichy Célestins like three hotels adding up 400 rooms.
In 2007, the three Establishments of the Thermal baths of Vichy exempted 120.000 days of cures.
The CFV employs approximately 300 people.
