All the producers were carefully selected on the basis of their equitable and durable step, which is detailed for each product.
The range suggested by Pachamama is the fruit long research.
Many parts are artisanal, sometimes single.
In fact objects have style and personality, in addition to adding a direction particular to the gift for the person who receives it.
Creative of the project Pachamama:
Isabelle Steenebruggen.
Born in 1975, I made studies of translation in Marie Haps (Belgium).
After having lived a few years in Spain following an Erasmus stay, I returned to Belgium where I worked during seven years in the services of the European commission.
My voyages to Peru, Senegal and Sri Lanka, like my engagement like voluntary at Oxfam, sensitized me with the development co-operation and with the equitable trade.
Why?
* A window Internet is a rather ecological tool: without store to be heated and illuminate unnecessarily during long hours, one removes useless energy expenditure.
* The active moms often have little time to move.
Online shopping proves very practical in this case: it is a tool available 24 hours a day, without fixing of time constraint at anybody.
It is fast and one is delivered at home.
* Lastly, a platform of online shopping reaches much more world than a store, which is necessary to increase the access to the products of the equitable trade.
* The equitable trade proves to be a good way of contributing to reduce poverty. It makes the producers autonomous and develops their work with the eyes of the purchaser. It does not have anything any more to see with charity: one can now find beautiful objects, of very good quality, resulting from the equitable trade.
* The consumers, today, are better and better informed, and wish to buy equitable products, but do not know where to find them.
The producers, them, need more than outlets: new sales outlets are necessary so that producers and consumers meet.
Values of Pachamama:
Pachamama is a space of sale, because we think that the equitable trade can be a profitable way even in-outside any subsidized or voluntary structure.
We think that a world justice in the trade is possible without charity, by an intelligent purchase of the consumer who wants to be citizen and who will be, moreover, satisfied with very the good quality of the products resulting from the equitable trade.
The plays are carefully selected, with for objective accompanying the child for a long time and evolving/moving with its imaginary.
The collective plays invite the adults and the children to be put together, not to gain the ones against the others, but to redécouvrir the pleasure of playing together.
